The Home Fire Sprinkler Coalition (HFSC) will select 20 Built For Life Fire Departments (BFLFD) to each receive $500 stipends to conduct a Home Fire Sprinkler Week Outreach Program during the week of May 19, 2019.
The $500 stipends can be used to build a Home Fire Sprinkler Display, build or refurbish a Side-by-Side Fire and Sprinkler Burn Demonstration or produce an educational banner/poster or educational materials distributed at the community event.
Deadline: March 29, 2019.
Eligibility: Only Built For Life Fire Departments will be considered. (NOTE: Please enroll as a BFLFD prior to submitting this application.)
Commitment: To apply, BFLFD representatives must agree to implement their department’s event and fulfill the Event Implementation Requirements during the week of May 19, 2019.
Event Implementation Requirements: BFLFD representatives must agree to conduct a Home Fire Sprinkler Week Outreach Program during the week of May 19, 2019; ensure the event contains home fire sprinkler educational outreach; endeavor to extend the educational benefits beyond the actual event (such as through local media or placement of photos or video on the fire department’s website and social media outlets, if any); evaluate the educational effectiveness of the event; and report event summary and evaluation findings to HFSC.
Supporting Statement: In addition to filling out the required supporting statement below, each BFLFD is encouraged to provide an optional statement supporting its application.
