HFSC has developed new Community Risk Reduction resources for AHJs, Local Officials, and Fire Officials. The Home Fire Sprinkler Community Impact Tool can calculate the cost of fire to communities when fire sprinklers are NOT protecting homes. Users can input local information and data including fatalities, injuries, property loss and displacement. This tool can be used to compare the costs between homes protected with fire sprinklers and homes that are not protected and automatically creates a PowerPoint presentation that you can use for local officials and other decision makers about fire codes.
